FEELING GRATEFUL

Before starting blogging I was happy in my own little world and was taking care of my home and family.
A typical home maker.
Then one day I got bored when my daughter left for school and my husband left for office. I was done watching Netflix in my couch the whole day.
I was not a 9-5 person but still, to kill my time, i joined a company which made luxury chocolates, I didn’t like the work culture there so i left it in just two months. And then i was back to my routine. After getting bored for a few more months, I collaborated with my fashion designer friend to do something in the fashion field and decided to create a few looks and do an exhibition to check if my fashion would work in Qatar.

My first exhibition in MIA park was a huge success ☺️ How?
I sold 83% of the stock in just 4-5 hours. How did I do it? I was wearing one of the outfits which I had in my collection at my stall. That particular top which was in navy blue color with sequin work done on only one side of the sleeves was sold out in no time. I was only left with 1 piece after just 3 hours so I decided to wear the other designs and they also sold out quickly. There was a Lebanese guy who came to my stall and asked me "Do you have this design? Are you having the XL size?" I said yes and then he bought 3 tops; S,M, XL for his two sisters and mother. He liked the design a lot and praised the design of the look and said you should be a blogger, you would make lot of money. That was the first time I heard about the term 'blogger'. I came home and googled it. I was amazed to find out about it and decided to be a blogger as it was of my interest and would help me kill time without doing a 9 to 5.

The first year it was a total failure because of my own mistakes as I wasn’t aware about the culture of social media in Qatar and I had no mentor or agency to guide me regarding how it worked, so it took a toll on me but I still continued as I was liking it a lot by just being busy doing what I studied (FASHION)

In the 2nd year I was doing decent, but the 3rd year changed everything when I collaborated with a Qatari fashion brand to promote their Abayas. After that there was no going back. After a few years, I bought my first apartment at a very premium location in my home town by saving the money I made from blogging.

This tiny little apartment isn’t that big but you have no idea how it feels to stand here and see the loft and just feel happy. Now since Iam traveling to INDIA a lot due to work, I have started fixing this place. My blog is being slow this year so Iam keeping a good control on how much I spend to fix my loft, as Iam focusing more on investing into my fashion brand.
I wouldn’t mind sharing everything about this space or teaching you guys how to spend money with control. If you are interested to know more about this, let me know 🤗
